第七十三天：有賊呀！！！

我們的東西不見了！今早才說秘魯天下太平…

Day 72: Acclimatizing at 3,300m!

Cusco, we’ve arrived. Staying at an awesome hostel (Pirawana, one of the best!) with nice thick and firm mattresses. Ahh it has been weeks since we’ve had a proper firm bed to rest our backs. Spending 4 out of the last 8 nights on buses, an orthopaedic mattress and nice fluffy duvets is just what we need. Our 8 bed dorm is smaller than the others but we slept like babies. 昨晚坐通宵巴士從阿雷基帕 (Arequipa) 去庫斯科 (Cuzco). 由於患上感冒 (是黃Glenn 傳染給我的呀！) 和很乾燥 (我生平第三次有鼻血…)，除了首數句鐘，其餘時間我都睡不著。對於高山症，我是擔心的，尤其看過 C小姐 的金寶綠水照後，加上感冒且睡不好的我身體狀況確實差一點，而當前的目的地，是在海拔 3,300 米之上，不憂慮就是騙人的… Continued 繼續看…

Day 70: City of Stone

Arequipa’s majestic stone cathedral

Arequipa. Known as the “white city” of Peru with many of its churches and colonial buildings constructed from white-greyish volcanic rock. Perched at 2,300m high amongst the cragged Andes mountain range, Arequipa for me is the city of stone. Everything from its grand arched plaza and majestic cathedral seemingly carved out from rock. 第六十七天：沙漠中滑翔

Huacachina – 沙漠中的綠洲

今早我們離開利馬往 Ica/Huacachina，那裡有沙漠和小綠洲。重臨沙漠，這次我們不靜態地欣賞她，我們在這裡滑沙！最初對這玩意一頭霧水，老是有種太勉強的感覺，就像有了跑馬活動都不夠，人們硬要加跑狗的項目… 後知後覺的我又在刺激事件簿上添了新一頁！Sand-boarding 與 snow-boarding 或 volcano-boarding 都不同，不企不坐，是整個人俯身在板上滑下去！戴上墨鏡，睜開眼睛看到自己近距離地滑下極斜沙坡，誰說不過癮?! Continued 繼續看…

利馬, so far so good, 先是她的好天氣 － 連續兩天都放晴和有微風，與朋友們經驗到的陰暗灰沉不一樣；然後是我們住的旅舍位於高尚豪宅區，旅遊書都說這地段不危險；再者我們的旅舍整潔寬敞無比，有三個大廳、一個大花園、兩個廚房和總共 17 間睡房！ 豪宅不愧為豪宅，只是 Continued 繼續看…

Day 65: Long Distance Bus Survivors

Squeezing through a manic street at the border

6 more hours to go and we pull into Lima. After 2 nights on buses and 40 hours on the road, the thing I want most is a bathroom. A shower and a seatable toilet. I’m grittier than had I been wild camping for several days, my fingernails turn black when I scrape my skin. Continued 繼續看…
