The final journey: Beijing to Hong Kong

Southbound… to a place we used to call home. In 24 hours we will reach destination Hong Kong. In 24 hours our journey will complete. This is the last train that will bridge the final distance and the first I am reluctant to board. Thought I was ready to go home but really, I’m not. I feel nervous the way I felt just before boarding the plane to Mexico, 308 days ago. This train will take us to the end of our travels and the beginning of something new… a new uncertainty.

在紅磡火車站留倩影

回家，等了良久的事，如今在發生了，卻突然很抗拒；火車上聽著一句句同車乘客的廣東話、望著已經天黑的車外，又離家近一點了，我們應該很高興才對，然而我們的心都往回憶裡鑽，在途上出現過的可愛面孔、遇見過的有趣的棒的人、見證過的壯麗景色等等，這豐富的大遊行就這樣要結束嗎？顯然我們還未準備好。

在非常靠近巴基斯坦邊境的塔縣遇到放羊的塔吉克族人

第一次來新疆，發現除了認知的維吾爾族外，還有回族、塔吉克族等很多其他族裔，老實說，對他們的理解很片面，反正都是新聞報導看到的負面評價。親身跟他們接觸，覺得他們很純樸、安靜和誠實，說真的，比以為自己很了不起的漢族同胞好多了。

第二百九十一天：我和火車站有個約會

烏魯木齊火車站*

說實話，可以避開不與火車站的同志正面交鋒的話，我們都會盡量避開。

車站內，售票的、買票的和保安人員都粗魯得可以，中國的五千年文化蕩然無存！

Day 291: 不行！

吐魯番的百姓聊天度日

對祖國的驕傲今天一掃而空。早上到火車站買票，本想去吐魯番一看火焰山的壯景，車站裡擠了成千上萬的人，活生生的大時代場景在我眼前呈現，我不禁想中國當真人如潮水。排了一陣子，終於到我們了。向售票員要了50分鐘後開的班次她卻說沒有。怎麼會？上面的電子版還顯示有九百多張空票。 Continued 繼續看…

Day 289: 回到祖國 Home Turf！

真值得紀念的一天，十一月二十五日，終於回到中國了， 回到自己的國土，回到自己的家鄉。看到紅色的國旗、熟悉的臉孔， 只能用百感交集來形容。從歐洲陸路回國的夢想總算成功了！
