Travel Sharing

We’re doing a travel sharing session at Think Cafe this week! Details below.

Time: 7:30pm – 10:00pm

1st row: Enter your name
2nd row: Enter your contact number

Chinabound…

After a month delay, we’re finally getting out on the road again… destination China!

Won’t be gone for too long, decided we’re in the mood for city hopping along the east coast from Beijing to Shanghai. A sort of encore before making some hard decisions about where to settle down.

On the other hand I was thinking maybe we should join thedealy’s world tour contest and if we win, we’ll just delay the settling plans and travel for another year? not a bad idea, but i’m dreamin’…

Epilogue: Get us back on the road!

First full day back in Hong Kong. I’m definitely going through reintegration shock. I can’t believe I have so much stuff. Opening one box after another…. What?! MORE clothes?? Ridiculous. The final journey: Beijing to Hong Kong

The final journey: Beijing to Hong Kong

Southbound… to a place we used to call home. In 24 hours we will reach destination Hong Kong. In 24 hours our journey will complete. This is the last train that will bridge the final distance and the first I am reluctant to board. Thought I was ready to go home but really, I’m not. I feel nervous the way I felt just before boarding the plane to Mexico, 308 days ago. This train will take us to the end of our travels and the beginning of something new… a new uncertainty.

Day 291: 不行！

吐魯番的百姓聊天度日

對祖國的驕傲今天一掃而空。早上到火車站買票，本想去吐魯番一看火焰山的壯景，車站裡擠了成千上萬的人，活生生的大時代場景在我眼前呈現，我不禁想中國當真人如潮水。排了一陣子，終於到我們了。向售票員要了50分鐘後開的班次她卻說沒有。怎麼會？上面的電子版還顯示有九百多張空票。 Continued 繼續看…

Day 289: 回到祖國 Home Turf！

真值得紀念的一天，十一月二十五日，終於回到中國了， 回到自己的國土，回到自己的家鄉。看到紅色的國旗、熟悉的臉孔， 只能用百感交集來形容。從歐洲陸路回國的夢想總算成功了！

Day 288: 蘋果來自哈薩克

Almaty 城外的天山山脈

Almaty， 屈指一算，已是十年前聽過的名字。一直都對這城市不感興趣，皆因她位於哈薩克，一個在我腦海中只是甚麼 “唔三唔四” 的國家。太無知了，這 “唔三唔四” 的地方是世界油庫量最高之一的國家，更於94年跟俄羅斯合力發送俄國與哈國人到太空。
